I feel NOT SO pretty...

Okay, this is my time to vent. I have spent the last few minutes "blog surfing" or "blog stalking" as I like to call it and have come across quite a few blogs of expectant mothers. Most of them include updated pictures, side view nonetheless, of their pregnant belly. It must be a first time mom thing because a side few of this pregnant belly will NOT, I repeat will NOT be posted. I seriously feel like I look like I could deliver any minute....my belly is buldging and I feel so YUCK! Maybe it is the 4 bagels with cream cheese I ate yesterday, or the 2 bowls (yes 2) of cereal I had for my mid morning snack. It could also be the Jamba Juice that I just consumed followed by a churro while on a quick trip to Costco....who knows. Maybe it is just the fact that this is baby #4 - my belly is already stretched out making it much easier for the skin to re-stretch and make me feel gigantic. I keep telling myself that maybe the baby is just big, but the ultrasound this week shows she is measuring right on though her legs are 10+ days bigger than the rest of her body. Whatever it may be, I forgot how much I HATE to feel fat. With a good 4 months to go I am hoping that I am just hitting a "growth spurt" like my 2 year old and it will come to a stop quick. Feeling terribly FAT and TURNING 30 all in the same week is just a combination for an emotional disaster. I think I will head to the gas station for a Dr. Pepper...maybe that's my problem!

My advice? Stop blog surfing!

Whenever I feel insecure about my messy house, tired eyes, crazy children, decorating sense (or lack thereof) I know it's time for a blog vacation.

You are adorable, and I for one would love a side shot of you!

I know your pain. 50 lbs with my last one! You will lose the weight and get skinny again, so don't fret!

I just saw you and you look beautiful! You don't look fat or even that pregnant.. You look awesome! I know that doesn't ease the pain. This is the least attractive I've ever felt. It was why I refused to be pregnant the last year of my twenties! I'm excited for your birthday. 30 is great!

Um, did you notice that I haven't been posting baby belly photo of me on my blog either?! I don't think my posterity or anyone else needs a picture of what I looked like when I was pregnant. They can use their imagination. :)

Oh I'm so sorry. As a Mom of four...trust me, it has nothing to do with you. I think that the moment you pee on the stick your stomach muscles give out. They already know it's not worth the fight. Can you really blame them? You are so incredibly beautiful... and seeing you a couple weeks ago at Costco, you just need a new mirror. I love you!
(gotta give props to those amazing Churros...those and Dr. Pepper's. Life doesn't get better than that!)

I am sure you look great. I think we always feel worse than we look. You keep on enjoying those pregnancy cravings and just enjoy being pregnant. I also agree on the baby #4 thing that makes a difference.

Aw, Renee...I'm sorry you don't feel pretty. You are gorgeous! I don't think anyone feels small and cute when they are pregnant. Mmmm...that churro and crm cheese bagels you ate sound good to me though! haha.

If it makes you feel better I still look like I have a 9 month old baby in my belly and my baby is almost 3..so sad. I also look at your blog and feel sorry for myself because you still look exactly the same as you did in High School. You are gorgeous and skinny and I am so jealous of you!!

Nothing you can do about it! I figure, just worry about it when it's all over! I HATE getting fat too! I do not get pregnant in a cute way! I am so done!!!!!! I just hope it doesn't take me an eternity of self deprivation and hard core exercise to get myself back!

Renee,
I'm sorry to say I had to laugh at this post. You are beautiful and you need to give yourself a break because...you're pregnant!! I wish I could lie and tell people I was 9 months pregnant or that I just had a baby--but I can't. Enjoy! I'm starting to give myself a break as well, who really cares anymore! We worry about the dumbest things and I'm so tired of feeling that way. I have aged so much; wrinkles, fat, dark eyes, etc. But guess what? I've earned it and I'm tired of caring. I can't explain to everyone how the past 6 years have been and I shouldn't have to--and you shouldn't either! I know I need to be healthier, but if I'm healthy and chubby, so be it. This earth life is so quick and then...well you know the rest--Drink it up girl!!!

P.S. Congrats on another little girl.

A good Dr. Pepper always saves the day! I would definitely go for the baby #4 theory...come on the baby NEEDED that churro and extra bowl of cereal, I'm sure of it! Those calories don't count, right?!?

You are beautiful no matter what renee. Don't get so down on yourself. I will look for you at the game tonight!

I can only dream of looking as beautiful as you do when I'm pregnant! The doctors told me I was measuring right on with Sam, too, but he was 9lbs and that was 9 days early! No wonder I felt huge! What if I had gone 9 more days...makes me think of Violet on Willy Wonka!
