Washing Windows with Vinegar!

Okay, so Tyler was home early this afternoon and I needed a project. Forget the fact that my LAUNDRY is not even close to being caught up, the dishes are still DIRTY, and the toys are scattered ALL OVER the basement. But, I headed to Home Depot and bought a window washing kit that included all the necessary tools and window cleaner. I went to do my basement windows which get hit by the sprinklers and the window cleaner would not do the trick. I got on the computer and "googled" recipes for window cleaner. Did anyone else know that VINEGAR is the best solution to wash windows with? I never knew that! I put some vinegar on a sponge and the hardwater spots came right off! Yeah for google and yeah for vinegar!

I always use Vinegar. I don't even own windex or any other type of window washing fluid! Just good old vinegar and water, works every time! I learned this trick from my mom....she insists on not buying store products! I am glad you discovered this wonderful secret!

Yay for vinegar! I did the same thing when I was trying to clean my linoleum floors and came up with the same answer: Vinegar! It also works wonders on your towels that are starting to smell. There are tons of uses for it! The only downside I see is I like the clean fresh smell of cleaning products, and vinegar doesn't leave the same fresh smell, but if you like the smell of vinegar then you are set!

I hate when my mom is right! She always used vinegar in her house. I figured out it worked once I had my own home:)
