So, this cute little boy with long eyelashes is not that innocent anymore. He is very sweet but lately he has become very...wound up. They had to come get Tyler out of Sunday School today because Nick was talking to his friend and when he was asked to stop he wouldn't and got mad. Tyler says that he is just being a kid and it will pass - any thoughts?

I'm with Tyler. First of all three hours is a lot to ask from any kid (or adult)especially boys because they generally learn better through their gross motor skills not by sitting and listening, so it takes some pretty amazing teachers to captivate them for that long. Even they can't always do it! Hopefully they will be able to redirect their 'Nick' focus onto what he is doing well in class (positive reinforcement) so he will be able to see church as a place where he feels something special (the spirit) and learns about Jesus. A new found independance can be a good thing, and a big help at home!...just my opinion
That is funny. Good luck with that! I'm trying to fiqure out how to raise boys. They are so diffrent from girls. Lexi never gives me any trouble but, my two boys are out of control. If you have any ideas let me know because, I can't fiqure it out.
You're asking the mom of the four year old daughter who slapped her Primary teacher when he teased her a little too much! I don't have the best advice except to say that he has good parents who teach him what's right and who have high expectations from him. He'll be just fine.
I am sure he is just exploring his limits. Kids sure do like pushing those limits, and it is even more fun at church. Rob tells me storys about his leaders and stuff they used to do. Needless to say, he got in a few physical altercations with them. So I think you are fine, plus he has great parents so don't worry about it.
